Dr. Carla González de la Cruz
Dr. Carla González de la Cruz holds a PhD in Pharmacogenetics within the Doctoral Program in Applied Biomedical Research at the University of Extremadura and is currently a Postdoctoral Researcher in the Clinical and Translational Research in Pharmacogenetics group at the Personalized Medicine and Mental Health Research Unit of the University Institute for Biomedical Research of Extremadura (INUBE), Badajoz, Spain. She obtained both her bachelor’s degree in Biology and her master’s degree in Advanced Biotechnology from the University of Extremadura. She is actively involved as a researcher and collaborator in several national and international projects in Personalized Medicine, with a particular focus on Pharmacogenetics, including the MedeA, BioFRAM, and SMARTOmics projects. She is also a member of the Ibero-American Network of Pharmacogenetics and Pharmacogenomics (RIBEF), contributing to multiple collaborative research initiatives across Ibero-America. Her research output includes ten publications in Q1-ranked international peer-reviewed journals, as well as numerous oral and poster presentations at national conferences and scientific seminars in the health sciences. She has extensive experience in molecular biology and genetics techniques, including quantitative PCR, genotyping arrays, and high-throughput genomics using microfluidics. Additionally, she has strong expertise in the quantitative analysis of antidepressant plasma concentrations using high-performance liquid chromatography coupled with mass spectrometry (HPLC–MS).
