Dr. Bernhard Strasser is a Research Associate and Senior Physician at the Institute of Clinical Chemistry and Laboratory Medicine at Klinikum Wels-Grieskirchen in Upper Austria. He also serves as the Deputy Head of the Institute in Wels. In addition, he is the Chair of Young Laboratory Medicine in the Austrian Society for Clinical Chemistry and Laboratory Medicine (ÖGLMKC).

His expertise spans hematology, molecular genetics, and clinical laboratory medicine, with a particular focus on precision diagnostics and clinical research. He specializes in liquid profiling abd an additional key focus of his work is related to cardiogenetics and the identification of genetic predispositions to cardiovascular diseases, particularly cardiomyopathies and arrhythmias.
