
Dr. Boyer Jean Christophe
Dr Jean Christophe BOYER works at the University Hospital of Nîmes, France. He heads the
Toxicology Unit of the Biochemistry and Molecular Biology Department. He was trained in the
Department of Biochemistry and Pharmacology at the University Hospital of Montpellier-Nîmes, where
he completed his PhD on molecular pharmacology in digestive diseases. He got analytical skills and
extensive knowledge of most instruments and techniques used for pharmacogenetic analyses (eg: NGS,
real time PCR, gene sequencing…) and for clinical mass spectrometry (eg: HPLC-MS-MS or HPLCHRMS…)
He is also a forensic toxicologist expert for the Nîmes Court. His main area of research is in
pharmacogenetics linked to oncology and pain management. Dr BOYER is one of the founder of the
French-speaking Pharmacogenetic Network (RNPGx) and he participates on several national
committees for French Health Agencies (eg, National Cancer Institute, HAS…). He is a member of
scientific societies like French Society of Analytical Toxicology (SFTA), French Oncological
Pharmacology Group (GPCO). He has over 55 peer reviewed publications, 4 book chapters, over 70
published oral or poster presentations for a total number of 2024 citations, H index of 22, Iindex of 35
