The Czech Society for Clinical Biochemistry (ČSKB) is a professional organization that supports the development and standardization of clinical biochemistry in the Czech Republic. Since its foundation in 1958, it has aimed to ensure high-quality laboratory medicine essential for diagnosis and patient care.

ČSKB brings together experts from various areas of laboratory medicine, providing a platform for sharing knowledge, supporting education, and fostering scientific research. It organizes conferences and other educational events to keep professionals informed of current trends and technologies.

The Society is active in developing qualitative standards and diagnostic guidelines, with more than 46 recommendations to date. It collaborates with healthcare institutions to improve diagnostic and therapeutic procedures and enhance the reliability of laboratory results. ČSKB also works closely with international organizations such as IFCC and EFLM to promote biochemical diagnostics globally.

Supporting young professionals is a key priority, offering educational and career development opportunities. ČSKB also engages the public to raise awareness of the importance of precise laboratory diagnostics for health and disease prevention.

The Society publishes the journal Klinická biochemie a metabolismus, covering clinical biochemistry, pathophysiology, nutritional support, and nuclear medicine.

With over 900 members, ČSKB plays a vital role in advancing laboratory medicine in the Czech Republic.
